Description
HALO® 4D Fractional Laser Resurfacing
Two different lasers are combined in the HALO 4D. The Halo® fractional laser delivers two different wavelengths, 1470-nm and 2940-nm simultaneously. The Dynamis Fotona 4D® uses 1064-nm and the 2940-nm but in different facial locations and sequentially. The Halo® is used for a more aggressive treatment, then followed by minimally ablative Dynamis treatments with minimal downtime. The PIANO® mode of the Dynamis provides continued stimulation of stem cells for repair and collagen remodeling. These combined wavelengths target dark pigments and age related changes to improve texture and lighten pigment.
The 1470-nm on the Halo® fractional creates vertical columns of thermal injury in the skin’s deeper layer, the dermis, while the 1064-nm wavelength FRAC3® provides targeted ablation of pigment based on the chromophore of red and dark pigments that absorbed more energy and cause focal ablation. There is more downtime with the initial Halo® combination treatment. The follow-up 4D is spaced out over 4 week intervals for three sessions to keep the healing process going without the downtime. Thus, the HALO 4D, induces the remodeling of your collagen, elastin formation, and thickening the extracellular matrix (the skin’s moisture and blood vessel-rich skin environment), combined with epidermal ablation from the 2940-nm helps the wrinkles and texture of the skin with a youthful glow!
The recovery time that is needed following the Halo® fractional laser resurfacing for the face is 4-5 days. There is essentially no recovery time for the 4D, but both need to be followed by minimal sun exposure because of the risk of hyperpigmentation. Topical Lidocaine as well as ProNox (Nitrous Oxide) can be used if needed for the initial treatment.
Briefly, the subsequent 3 Fotona 4D® treatments are a series of synergistic, non-invasive laser treatments of both the exterior facial and interior oral cavity, enabling full-thickness contraction of collagen for persistent tightening and volumization without injectables. With two laser wavelengths and 4 treatment modes, anti-aging is comprehensively approached from 4 different levels, working on deeper, medial and superficial connective structures of the skin, as well as targeting imperfections.
